There is a great restaurant, "Unique", within a mile of the house and local Bahamian cuisine at "Mate & Jenny's" within 2 miles. "Tippy's" and "Beach House", just 4 miles away on Banks Rd. offers wonderful oceanside dining. A market,bakeries, fresh fruit and vegetable stand, "Banks Rd. gourmet Deli" and several churches are also nearby. Every Friday night there is a fish fry right in Governor's Harbour where locals and visitors meet. The village of North Palmetto Point is just 1 1/2 miles away and has grocery stores.

Governor's Harbour is seven miles north, where there are several restaurants; "Sunset Inn","Cigatoo Inn", Buccaneer", "Da Perk", and local Takeaway stores. Arrangements can also be made for tennis.
